A good place to start for your search would be the PsycArticles database.  To find that database, click on All Databases located just below the search box on the Library's homepage.

Then, scroll down until you see PsycArticles and click on that.

Once the database opens up, follow these steps:

  • In the top search box type: Health Care Psychology
  • Change the top drop-down menu so that it shows DE Subject. By doing that, only subject headings will be looked at when the search is performed.
  • In the middle search box type:  "drug abuse"  (Be sure to include the quotation marks.  By doing that, the words are more likely to be searched for together.)
  • Click on Search.

You could modify the search a bit by putting "health care psychology" into quotation marks and changing the drop-down box so it shows Select a Field (optional).  In the middle box, you could then search for:  drug abuse or substance abuse
