Below is a sample reference from APA's Academic Writer on how to cite a newspaper article found from the newspaper's website.


Newspaper article (online)

Brody, J. E. (2007, December 11). Mental reserves keep brains agile. The New York Times. https://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/11/health/11iht-11brod.8685746.html


Note that if you found the newspaper article from a library database like ProQuest Central, the citation would simply end after listing the name of the newspaper.  There is no need to name the database it is from or link to it.
