A suggested starting point is  http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/dhcs.htm   After clicking on that link, look over to the left and click on Surveys.
 

Then, select a survey that you would be interested in.  For this example, the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey  was chose.

On the survey's page, you can then explore links over on the left hand side or right hand side.

To find information in the library, type the name of the survey into the search box: "national ambulatory medical care survey"

Be sure to include the quotation marks.  They tell the search engine to look for those words together. 
Then, click on Search.
