Begin searching at the Library welcome page. Select the advanced search option.


On the next screen, select BiologyEnvironmental Sciences, and Life Sciences in the Choose a discipline to search field. 

Back at the top of the page, in the search box, begin a topic search. For example, search contemporary interconnected ecosystems

Or, contemporary interconnected ecosystems AND marine habitat

Additional search terms and phrases may include: 

biological AND ecological damages AND outside influences

environmental impact analysis AND ecosystem management

Once articles have been retrieved, search results can be refined by selecting the various limiters on the left side of the page. For example, try limiting the results by publication date, geography, subject (see below), and more. 

Search tip: When browsing results, look at subject tags within the article citations; they can often provide additional search terms and phrases.
