Turnitin is a plagiarism analysis and grammar check program. Submitting a paper to Turnitin generates a Turnitin Originality Report. This report indicates matching or similar text found in submitted papers.  If you're worried about accidental plagiarism, this is a great tool to help check your written work with. It also includes grammar and spelling feedback.

To find TurnItIn, go to the Academic Success Center's PG411 site. Once there, click on the Turnitin and Grammar Check section of the Content menu. Then, click the link to Turnitin and Grammar Check Dropbox.

Turnitin is also used by many instructors and integrated into many courses (though not all) to measure the originality of submitted papers. When an assignment is submitted into the Dropbox, the assignment will be automatically analyzed by the plagiarism detection tool if the feature is turned on. Note that only select assignments will be linked with Turnitin. Check with your instructor for more information.
